I traveled from Boston to Portsmouth today, and then took the 4:00 boat to Shoals. 2 [dead, frozen] seals rode with us, and one will be dissected in my class. We had a faculty meeting and a course meeting, and then a lovely sunset. Getting ready for students to arrive tomorrow afternoon!
Last week I took a trip out to Appledore Island to check out the Shoals Marine Lab. It’s beautiful there, and the trip got me very excited to teach there later this summer. Enrollment is still open, come join us!
Heading to Anchorage today for the Alaska Marine Science Symposium, and looking forward to hearing the latest news about the Arctic.
