I am a member of the Faculty at the Shoals Marine Lab where I teach courses on marine mammal science. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Blue Ocean Society.

I conduct research on large whale foraging ecology, stress and reproductive physiology, and migration behavior. My research focuses on retrospective chemical analysis of baleen.
